You have to make a journey to be able to preach about it.
You are a much more credible source if you actually go through the trial it
takes to get through it. You gain the insight of the drive and mental
determination it takes to succeed which in turn helps you coach and help others

Unit 7
I enjoyed this week's exercise. I appreciated the long pauses for me to actually visualize and attempt to feel what the audio was stating. I need to ensure I don't do this in the dark again though, it creeped me out at one point to the point that I stopped and got up and turned the lights on before I continued. Which in affect broke up the whole process not allowing me to get the full benefit. Other than that I found it very grounding and flourishing.

Unit 6
Loving kindness breeds loving kindness. I have chose
focus more on my family and friends. Over the past couple of years school,
work, and other things have caused not to be as focused on them as I once was.
I also need to work on the self-regulation portion. This exercise has made me
realize I have fallen off track with my nutrition and working out. I believe
the loving kindness exercise will help me in both of these aspects and I plan
on utilizing it to help me with these improvements.

Exercise Unit 5
When comparing and contrasting the Loving Kindness exercise and the Subtle mind exercise both possessed the same background noise of waves crashing and eastern chimes. They also both led you into the mental fitness practice so you could block "outside chatter". The subtle mind was less guided and left you more to your own vices (as the title suggests) and was about being one with yourself and witnessing what was going on internally. While the Loving Kindness exercise was more about harnessing all the negativity you had going on and releasing it.

Exercise Unit 4
Due to my severe jet lag, loving myself meant falling asleep within the first couple minutes of the instruction. The second time I throughly enjoyed the aspects of the exercise on loving yourself. I focused on the pluses I have and not the negatives that we are all to often surrounded with.
We need to workout our mind as though it was any other muscle. I think a trained mind can actually be the most beneficial "fit" muscle. The profound impact mind power can have on your life and environment is astonishing.
